Correct!

ANS:  "Your body needs minerals and electrolytes to absorb it."

Here's why drinking water doesn't always equate to hydration and what you can do about it...

You know how people say, “Just drink more water”?
Yeah, if it were that simple, half the country wouldn’t still feel tired, stiff, and foggy.

Here’s the truth — hydration isn’t about how much you drink, it’s about what your body can hold onto.

Think of your cells like little sponges. If they’re low on minerals — sodium, potassium, magnesium — those sponges can’t actually soak up the water you pour in. It just runs through you. You pee it out, then wonder why your lips are still dry and your muscles still feel flat.

1. Water follows minerals

Water doesn’t move on its own. It follows electrical gradients — the tiny charges created by minerals. Without that charge, your cells can’t “attract” the water inside. So when you’re depleted (from sweating, stress, caffeine, or just life), water alone won’t fix it. That’s why a pinch of himalayan salt or sea salt or a mineral supplement often does more than another glass of plain water.

2. Stress leaks hydration

When your body’s in fight-or-flight, digestion slows, kidneys speed up, and you start dumping minerals. It’s part of your survival chemistry. That’s one reason I teach SSR™ — Sympathetic Signal Reset — to calm that inner alarm system. A calm nervous system holds hydration; a stressed one leaks it.

3. Fascia is the body’s sponge

That web of connective tissue running through you — the fascia — loves fluid. When it’s supple and hydrated, you feel loose, light, and energized. When it’s sticky or dry, everything feels tight. Movement, gentle pressure, and breathing are what “wring and soak” that sponge again. That’s why those small, mindful Hip-Core moves make such a difference.

4. Real hydration = water + minerals + calm + muscle contraction

Hydration isn’t just about drinking more; it’s about absorbing more. The simple formula is:
Clean Water + Balanced Minerals + Calm Nervous System + Muscle Contraction.

Once you have all four, the whole body wakes up — your skin glows, muscles recover faster, your brain feels clearer. You’re not chasing energy anymore; you have it.
