10-Day Tension Reset

You're in.

Your spot in the live 10-Day Tension Reset is confirmed.

We begin together August 10

First: you don't need to start doing anything.

Seriously.

You don't need to prepare your body.

You don't need to stretch more before we begin.

You don't need to practice relaxing.

And you definitely don't need to spend the next few days monitoring yourself trying to find every bit of tension.

We're going to start with the body you have and the life you're already living.

That's actually important to this work.

Here's what happens next.

1
Check your inbox. You'll receive a confirmation email with the important details. If you don't see it, check Promotions, Updates or Spam.
2
Choose one tension pattern. I'll explain that below. This will give you something personal to follow during the 10 days.
3
Watch for your Day 1 message on August 10. That's when I'll tell you exactly where to begin.

Before we begin, choose one thing you're curious about.

Think about the tension, tightness, bracing or effort you notice most often.

Don't choose everything.

Just choose one recurring pattern you'd like to understand a little better.

For example:

My shoulders get tight when I'm working at my computer.
My jaw grips throughout the day.
My lower back feels braced after I've been standing.
My chest feels tight or heavy when I'm stressed or concentrating.
My neck tightens when I'm using my phone.
I hold my breath or tense during exercise.
By the end of the day, my whole body feels like it's been working too hard.

You don't need to know why it happens.

You don't even need to know whether you're describing it perfectly.

Just know which pattern you want to become more curious about.

A short check-in to help you capture where you're starting.

Four things I want you to know before Day 1.

1. You can't fail this. Some days you'll notice a lot. Other days you won't. Both are useful.
2. More isn't better. Don't repeat something five times because once felt helpful unless I specifically ask you to.
3. Don't force relaxation. If something softens, great. If it doesn't, that's information too.
4. Curiosity beats correction. We're learning what your body does before immediately deciding what it should be doing instead.

There is one thing you can notice before we begin.

Not all day.

Not every time you feel tension.

Just once, sometime during an ordinary activity, ask:

Is any part of my body using more effort than this moment seems to require?

Maybe you notice something.

Maybe you don't.

Don't make anything happen.

Just notice what you notice.

That's plenty for now.

What we'll do once we begin.

Over the 10 days we'll gradually explore three different layers.

RELIEF
We'll experience some simple ways of helping tension come down and notice what changes.

DOWNSHIFT
We'll explore what happens when your body has an opportunity to use a little less overall effort.

RECOGNITION
We'll start finding some of the moments where that effort appears during your actual life.

You won't need to master any of these.

We're gathering information, experimenting and learning how your body responds.

For now, you're done.

You've signed up.

You've saved your place.

Choose the one tension pattern you're curious about, complete your starting check-in, and then leave it alone.

We'll start together August 10.

I'm glad you're doing this with us.
