Discover What Easier Can Feel Like in Your Body

If tightness keeps coming back, the missing piece may not be another stretch, exercise, or way to relax.

In this live workshop, you'll begin exploring what happens when your body uses less unnecessary tension, bracing, and effort.

Save My Spot

Maybe you've already tried to get rid of the tightness.

You stretch.

You exercise.

You work on your posture.

You massage it, rest it, loosen it, or try to relax.

And sometimes those things help.

But then your body seems to return to the same tension again.

When that happens, it's easy to assume you haven't found the right exercise, the right stretch, or the right technique yet.

But there may be another piece worth looking at.

What if your body is using more effort than the moment actually requires?

Not just during exercise.

While standing.

While sitting.

While changing positions.

While reaching, swaying, thinking, concentrating, or preparing to move.

Your jaw may tighten. Your stomach may pull in. Your shoulders may brace. Your breathing may change. Your whole body may quietly prepare for more than the moment actually needs.

Most of the time, we don't even realize we're doing it.

This workshop isn't just about understanding tension.

I want you to feel what I'm talking about.

We'll use simple positions and movements to help you begin noticing where extra effort may be hiding.

You won't need to perform exercises perfectly.

You won't be trying to force your body to relax.

And the goal isn't to make every muscle loose.

The goal is to begin recognizing how much effort your body is actually using — and what changes when it finds another option.

What we'll explore together

1. Hidden effort in stillness

We'll start simply.

Standing or sitting, you'll notice what your body is already doing before we try to change anything.

You may begin catching tension or effort that has become so familiar you barely notice it anymore.

2. What happens when your brain gets busy

We'll add a little cognitive demand and see whether anything else in your body joins the task.

Does your jaw tighten? Does your stomach brace? Do your shoulders change? Does your breathing become smaller?

This can be a simple way to begin feeling how effort spreads beyond the thing actually requiring your attention.

3. Hidden effort in different positions

We'll change stance, shift weight, and explore a few simple positions.

Not to find the "perfect" position.

But to notice how your body changes its effort when the demand changes.

4. Hidden effort while moving

We'll explore simple movements such as swaying, shifting, reaching, standing, and changing levels.

Depending on what feels appropriate for you, we may also explore something like getting down toward the floor and coming back up.

The question isn't whether you can do the movement.

The question is: how much of you joins in?

5. What "just enough" begins to feel like

Finally, we'll experiment with using a little less where less is appropriate.

Not floppy.

Not completely relaxed.

Not underworking.

Just enough for what the moment actually requires.

What might you notice?

Everyone's experience is different.

You might notice your breathing feels a little easier.

A movement may feel smoother.

Your shoulders, jaw, stomach, or back may feel less involved.

You may feel a little more supported or less guarded.

Or the biggest change may simply be realizing:

"I had no idea I was doing that."

This workshop may be for you if...

Tightness keeps returning.

You can loosen things temporarily, but your body seems to find its way back to the same places.

Exercise sometimes leaves you feeling tighter.

You want to move, get stronger, and stay active — but your body often responds by bracing or working harder.

You find yourself holding tension without knowing why.

Your shoulders lift, your stomach tightens, your jaw clenches, or your breathing gets smaller even during ordinary activities.

You want movement to feel easier — not perfect.

You're interested in learning how to work with your body instead of constantly trying to force it to change.

This isn't about getting rid of all tension.

Your body needs effort.

It needs muscle activity.

It needs support when the situation requires it.

The goal isn't to become completely relaxed.

The goal is to help your body become more adaptable — able to use more when more is needed and less when less is enough.

Why HipCore?

HipCore isn't about holding your core tighter or strengthening one specific muscle.

We use breathing, positioning, support, balance, and movement as ways to explore how your whole body organizes effort.

Instead of constantly asking:

"How do I fix this?"

We begin asking another question:

"How much effort does this actually need?"

Discover What Easier Can Feel Like

Saturday, September 19 at 12:00 PM Central

Come experience what can change when your body begins using less unnecessary tension, bracing, and effort.

And if you want to keep going...

At the end of the workshop, I'll also share an optional 10-Day HipCore experience for those who want to explore this more deeply.

The workshop is about helping you recognize hidden effort.

The 10 days will begin exploring something different:

How do you begin using a different amount of effort?

We'll build from awareness into simple experiments with breathing, support, standing, movement, and everyday activity.

There is no obligation to join.

Come experience the workshop first. Then decide whether you want to continue.

This workshop is educational and is not intended to diagnose or treat a medical condition. Participate only in movements that feel appropriate for you. If you have a medical condition, recent injury, or concerns about whether movement is appropriate, consult with your qualified healthcare professional.
