You Don't Need to Learn Anything New Today
You've reached the end of your first week. And today, I'm not giving you another lesson, exercise, or technique.
Instead, I want to give you a little space to look back.
Over the past week, we've spent less time trying to change your body and more time simply beginning to notice it.
The moments you hold. The moments you brace. The effort that sometimes shows up before you even realize it's happening.
And maybe even the urge to immediately do something about what you notice.
You don't need to decide what any of it means yet.
Just think back over your week.
What have you noticed about yourself or your body that you may not have noticed before?
It doesn't have to be a big realization.
- Maybe you noticed a particular moment when your shoulders tend to rise.
- Maybe you caught yourself holding your breath.
- Maybe you noticed how quickly your body responds to a thought, conversation, task, or something you're anticipating.
- Maybe you noticed yourself wanting to immediately fix something when you felt it.
- Or maybe something completely different stood out.
And if you haven't noticed much yet, that's okay too.
We're not measuring progress by how many things you've discovered. We're learning to see what's already happening.
“This week, I noticed…”
Take a moment and finish that sentence however it comes to you. There's no right answer.
If you're comfortable sharing, go back to your email and reply with your answer.
And then let Week 1 be complete.
You don't need to work on your answer. You don't need to carry it around with you.
Tomorrow, we'll begin exploring what happens when we start noticing some of these moments a little earlier.
