6-week small-group coaching program

Exit Protection Mode

A small-group coaching program where Ko guides you through the process of helping your body release unnecessary protection and rediscover natural strength and movement.

Your body is not broken.

Sometimes it’s simply protecting you longer than necessary.

Next cohort begins April 7

Small group format

Calm, structured, guided process

Takes about 5 minutes. No exercises. Just a simple reset.

April 7 start

6 weeks

Small group

For people who are ready to learn how to notice protection patterns, reduce unnecessary guarding, and rebuild movement without forcing.

Why many people stay stuck

The Missing Piece

Many people try to fix tension and pain by stretching more, strengthening more, or pushing harder.

But when the nervous system is still in protection mode, those approaches often backfire.

Muscles stay guarded.

Breathing becomes restricted.

Movement feels harder than it should.

This isn’t a motivation problem.

It’s a protection pattern.

Until the nervous system feels safe enough to release that protection, the body struggles to change.

EARLY proof

What people are already Experiencing

"I didn’t realize how often my stomach was gripping until Ko pointed it out. Just noticing it made my breathing feel easier.”

HIPSTERS member

“The resets are small but surprisingly powerful. My shoulders feel lighter after years of tension.”

HIPSTERS member

“For the first time I noticed how much effort I was using for simple movement. When that softened, everything felt easier.”

Why this approach works

Release Before Strength

Most programs try to change the body while it is still guarding.

Stretch the muscles.Strengthen the muscles.Push through the tension.

But when the nervous system senses threat, it activates protection.

Muscles tighten.Breathing changes.Movement becomes guarded.

Trying to force change during this state often increases protection.

The HIP-CORE Method works differently.

Instead of forcing the body to change, we help the nervous system release unnecessary protection first.

  • Breathing expands
  • Movement becomes easier
  • Strength begins returning naturally
who this is for
This program is designed for people who notice things like:
  • chronic muscle guarding or tension
  • stomach gripping during concentration
  • shoulders or neck tightening during simple tasks
  • breath holding without realizing it
  • exercise sometimes making the body feel worse
  • feeling like the body rarely fully relaxes

These patterns often happen when the nervous system stays in protection mode longer than necessary.

The goal of this program is to help the body learn when it is safe to release that protection.

Protection Mode Map

The Path Out of Protection

The HIP-CORE Method guides the body through a simple progression. Most people entering the program find themselves somewhere between Protection Mode and Awareness.

PROTECTION MODE

Constant guarding, shallow breathing, tension, stomach gripping

AWARENESS

You begin noticing the pattern in real time.

RELEASE

The body starts letting go of unnecessary protection.

RELEASING EFFORT

Muscles work again without urgency or gripping.

CAPACITY

Strength and resilience return with less guarding.

Program structure

The 6-Week Protection Reset

This is a guided small-group experience. Each week builds on the previous one so participants don’t get overwhelmed or pushed ahead of their capacity.

WEEK 1

Recognizing Protection

Learn how to identify when your body enters protection mode. Many people discover tension patterns they didn’t realize were happening.

WEEK 2

Downshifting Protection

Gentle resets help the nervous system reduce guarding and restore breathing and movement.

WEEK 3

Stability Without Bracing

Learn the difference between protective tension and natural stability.

WEEK 4

Relearning Effort

Muscles begin working again without unnecessary urgency or gripping.

WEEK 5

Expanding Capacity

Strength and movement capacity gradually return without triggering protection patterns.

WEEK 6

Integration

Learn how to recognize and respond to protection patterns in daily life.

Why this happens in a small cohort

Social Regulation Matters

Many people try to fix tension and pain by stretching more, strengthening more, or pushing harder.

But when the nervous system is still in protection mode, those approaches often backfire.

Muscles stay guarded.Breathing becomes restricted.Movement feels harder than it should.

This isn’t a motivation problem.

It’s a protection pattern.

Until the nervous system feels safe enough to release that protection, the body struggles to change.

What you receive

Participants receive:

  • Six weekly live coaching sessions with Ko
  • Guided reset practices
  • Movement demonstrations and explanations
  • Private group space for questions
  • Session recordings

Group size is intentionally limited.

What this program is — and is not

This program does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

Instead, it teaches skills for recognizing and reducing protective tension patterns in the body.

Some participants notice changes quickly. For others the process is gradual.

The goal is not perfection.

The goal is learning how to guide the body out of unnecessary protection.

FIT

Who this may not be for

This program may not be the best fit if:

  • you are looking for intense workouts or aggressive training
  • you want quick fixes rather than learning how the body regulates tension
  • you are currently dealing with an acute injury that requires medical treatment
Low-risk enrollment

A simple refund policy

If you join the program and after the first two sessions it doesn’t feel like the right fit, simply let us know and you will receive a full refund.

The goal is to help people who genuinely want to explore this work.

about ko

The Guide Behind the Method

Ko is a licensed clinician and the creator of the HIP-CORE Method.

Through years of observation and personal experience, he discovered that many chronic movement problems are not caused by weakness or structural damage but by protective patterns in the nervous system.

His work focuses on helping people recognize those patterns and guide the body back toward natural strength and ease.

Your Body Already Knows How to Move Freely

Sometimes it simply needs the right conditions to release protection.

If you’re ready to learn how to guide your body out of protection mode, you’re invited to apply for the next cohort.
